Pengadilan Militer Tinggi II Jakarta, abbreviated as Dilmilti II Jakarta, is tasked with exercising independent judicial power in accordance with applicable laws and regulations within the Indonesian National Army (TNI). To carry out this task, Dilmilti II Jakarta carries out the following main tasks:
Examination and decision in first instance courts of criminal cases and Military Administrative disputes as stipulated in Article 41 of Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 31 of 1997.
- Examination and decision-making in the first and final level of courts regarding disputes regarding the power to adjudicate between several Dilmil (Military Courts) such as Pengadilan Militer II-08 Jakarta, Pengadilan Militer II-09 Bandung, Pengadilan Militer II-10 Semarang and Pengadilan Militer II-11 Jogyakarta.
- Examination and decision in the second level court (appeal) of all cases that have been examined by Dilmil (Pengadilan Militer II-08 Jakarta, Pengadilan Militer II-09 Bandung, Pengadilan Militer II-10 Semarang and Pengadilan Militer II-11 Jogyakarta) in the first level court and for which a re-examination is requested.
Arrangement of appeals, pardons, cassation and judicial review in cases within its authority. - Implementation of supervision over Dilmil (Pengadilan Militer II-08 Jakarta, Pengadilan Militer II-09 Bandung, Pengadilan Militer II-10 Semarang and Pengadilan Militer II-11 Jogyakarta) in the Kimmil (Military Judge II-08 Jakarta, Military Judge II-09 Bandung, Military Judge II-10 Semarang and Military Judge II-11 Jogyakarta) and other Courts in their jurisdiction based on the delegation of authority from Dilmiltama (Main Military Court) in accordance with statutory provisions.
