Jakarta, November 10, 2025. The 2025 Heroes' Day Ceremony was held at the parade ground of Pengadilan Militer Tinggi II Jakarta with the Ceremony Inspector Rear Admiral TNI Ismu Edi Aryanto, S.H., M.H. in the ceremony, the message from the Indonesian Minister of Social Affairs was read out, the main points of which were as follows:
FIRST, THE PATIENCE OF THE HEROES.
They remained patient despite differing views and paths of struggle. From this patience came victory, for they knew that independence was not achieved in haste, but forged through time and sincerity.
SECOND, THE SPIRIT TO PRIORITIZE THE NATION'S INTERESTS ABOVE ALL.
After independence was achieved, the heroes did not jockey for power, did not seek revenge, did not seek what the colonizers had left behind. Instead, they returned to the people, teaching, building, planting, and continuing their service.
THIRD, LONG-TERM VIEW.
The heroes fought for future generations, for the prosperity of the nation they loved. And making this struggle part of their worship, their blood and tears are prayers that never die.
In today's world, the struggle is no longer with sharpened bamboo spears, but with knowledge, empathy, and devotion. Yet the spirit remains the same: defending the weak, fighting for justice, and ensuring that no one is left behind in the tide of progress.
Today, let us give thanks and pledge: this independence will not be in vain. We will continue the heroes' struggle in our own way, working harder, thinking more clearly, and serving more sincerely.
